Hello everyone,
My question is, when i have my A/C on my fan is constantly running, is this normal? And isnt the AC compresser suppose to circulate? Mine is always running.

Thanks,

Ok, Now if the compresser is suppose to circulate, what is wrong with mine? Blows nice cold air, 32 degrees.

Thanks

If you're blowing nice cold air....then don't worry about it?? My compressor doesn't circulate all the time and my air blows the same temp.

Ok, Thats cool. I'm happy with the temp, was just wondering if something else was wrong.

Thank you,

my compressor clicks off and on when needed, you could be a little low on refrigerent, but if it works I'd leave it alone, considering the cost of R-12 these days, and I think the fan is supposed to come on when the compressor engages, I havent observed it on this car but I know most older GM'* do, it may be different on these cars cause the computer controls everything: including the fan, atleast in the 94'*, (the year they changed the computers to obd1 \ 2 hybrid) The older obd1 cars where dumber, so the fan was relayed to the compressor when the a/c was on

the reason behind why a compressor cycles and the air is blowing super cold is in your question. You said it blows super cold...32 degrees. aka freezing. The compressor turns off to keep the "thingy" (Thingy=too drunk to remember proper name) from freezing up completely..rendering your ac a block of ice.
