question of the day...
 
my 95 sse is leaking tranny fluid from the side pan gasket at the bottom...if i put a stop leak in will it completely stop this leaking?? or do i have to take everything off that side to do the stupid pan gasket which they dont sell anywhere i've called?? any ideas guys??:mad:

I don't like stop leak. Have you looked at Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto for the gasket? If you can't find one, there is a chance it's a reusable gasket, every Bonneville I've worked on had one, but not sure on your year. If that's the case, clean it up and torque to the correct settings.

Drain and drop the pan, clean the gasket if reusable or get a new pan gasket. Might as well change the filter while you have the pan off. The replace the pan and torque the pan bolts to 96 to 120 in-lbs. Or 8 ft-lbs to 9 ft-lbs. Add 6 qt of Dexron III ATF. Start, drive and check for leaks. Re torque pan bolts.
