Q's on OBDII conversions

has anyone done one before? I am looking to try one on a 1995 SII bonne.
Can anyone give me some technical information about the wiring harness for the engine? Like how it is run through the firewall, etc. this doesn't seem to me like a difficult task being that i have done quite a few swaps on GP's, cutty's and of course my lumina.

So any help or direction to find help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What do you actually need? Wires run through connectors that meet at the firewall.

Like Bill B (#2) said, the engine and trans wiring harness plug into a huge bulkhead connector at the firewall. IIRC, it is covered with an asphalt sheet and has a 10mm-head bolt to draw the halves together. I have a '95 FSM, and can post the pinouts for that connector if you like.

that would be cool to get the pinouts. it would atleast get me started. my other questions would be was everything switched to OBDII in 96? and did it still use the 4T60? with the vacum modulator it think.

96 was still the 4T60. Correct. With the vac modulator. And OBD2. Can you PLEASE tells us what you've got IN YOUR CAR right now, and WHAT car?

Bill B meant to say the bolt is a 7MM or 8MM. (I'm not Bill B...I'm Boost ;) )

Boost is right. I stand corrected.

Here is a diagram of the firewall connector and a listing of wire color and circuit number for each pin position. I am looking for a description of each wire's function by circuit number.

I believe that is pretty much exactly what Brian is looking for. I'm sure a description of function by circuit number would definately help him as well.

Brians car is a '93 Lumina with an L67 swap. His mods IIRC are: K&N filter, 180 tstat, powerlog, ported rear manifold, 3" downpipe, vs cam, 105lb. springs, al 104 plugs, HumPerformance trans w/3.29 gears, custom PCM. I can't remember what else, but thats most of it....

I believe he is trying to help someone with an OBDII conversion and thats why he is asking.....

Thanks, Shawn. It really helps to know what's going into what so we can get a clearer picture of what he may need.
