Default Oil pressure spike with HVAC?

I noticed today when I turned on the HVAC by pushing ECON, not AUTO, my oil pressure went from about ~50 to 60 psi, for just a moment, then returned. I repeated it several times in a row, same thing. Kinda like what happens when the AC compressor kicks on, but it shouldn't have, being in ECON. Anyone else ever notice this or know what it is doing.

The display did not flash, so there are no error codes.

The RPM pick up by about 500 when my compressor cycles on and loads the motor. That 500 rpm could be enough to jack your pressure and then when it cycles off and rpms come back down so would pressure.

Does this sound about right? I know you said something about ECON but I don't have any experience with that button.

This was while cruising on the interstate. So no RPM change occured. When the HVAC is in auto, allowing the ac to kick in when it needs, the pressure jumps a little, as well as my boost pressure bumps up a little. There is no boost pressure jump, just the oil pressure. I've never seen it act this way until today.

Well that rules out the easy logical answers.

Electrical issue? Next time it happens try tapping on your cluster near the gauge. See if that changes anything. Maybe a ground issue occuring???? I'm stabbing into the unknown blackness here though.
