Problems Problems.....

New to the forum and have a few problems, Bought a 1994 sse with the stove pipe in the transmission busted (no 2nd no reverse) car had sat for 7 months, fixed the tranny and drove it home, stalled a few times and then would not start, checked ignition it was ok, changed the cranks sensor, same thing, plugged the noid light up no fire, changed the ecm starts every time, now transmission changes through the gears too fast, and even when i manually change the gears the car seems lazy, also when in park if I rev it to about 3k rpms and let off it dies every time and will fire right back up, I changed the IAC and this did not help, I have a genisys scanner but it will not read this car, it has a obd2 connector but a obd1 computer????
Car is super nice i just want it to run nice

Thanks for any help

stalling

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Should be 40+ at idle 47 at running. Could be a bad fuel pump.

Tranny...... Take it tool the tranny shop for advice.

If the tps is bad it should throw a code right?

Ok checked the fuel pressure at idle 35psi, uplug the regulator 44psi, even when the regulator is unhooked its still lazy and shifts into 2nd gear at about 3mph, when it gets into over drive it will not kick down when i open it wide open. Still no check engine light. :( :x

Did you check you TV cable. I would definately check your TV cable. It sounds like there is something internally wrong with your transmission. I would have a transmission shop take a look at it.

No tV cable on this one, electronic computer shifted

You mention changing ECM, did you put your prom into the new computer or did you keep the old one?

The chip needs to be changed for trans settings etc unless the car the ECM came from was identical including trans ratio etc that your car did.

No the ecm was new, i had to pull the prom from the original ecm and place it in the new one

Checked the tps voltage 5 volts on the hot side .54 volts at idle on the output side but it does not increase with throttle. So hopefully a new tps will solve all my problems

Yeah, the TPS should be a little less than .5V at no throttle, and 4.8 at 100% throttle, varying evenly in between.
