Default Oil Pressure....

Any one else has horrible oil pressure when the motor is hot ? or is it just me?
Mine use to ride just on the red shaded area of the guage when the motor is hot. Added lucas plus thicker oil which helped a bit, but anyone else experiencing this?

no i havent, but i think its working ok because i once stress tested the motor on a dyno with no fan in the front and the motor really heated up. Anyways the oil pressure was ON the red mark, the chime was ringing and teh motor was jerking or struggling to keep keep alive, so i turned her off and let her sit for few hours before i drove her back home again.

BTW where is it located? curious if i can clean the sensor up with carb cleaner or something

I'm located about a hour north of Milwaukee right on the shore of lake Michigan.

I've never tried cleaning a oil sensor. I checked on Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto and they have new sensors for $13 to $18.
