Default problem with passenger side power locks for 1993.

in the winter time i can't unlock my passenger side doors. I dont know if there is a short with the wires or what. during the summer it is fine for some reason. someone told me that the door maybe contracting because of the cold weather and pressing on the lock. if anyone has any suggestions or even a electrical layout for the 93 bonneville, i would be very appreciative.
thanks

Is your problem with the power lock, or is the actual lock frozen inside the door so you can't unlock it manually?

No the electric unlock doesn't work, remote or the door mounted unlock. It'll lock fine and if i apply slight pressure towards unlock when I hit the unlock button it'll work. Probably a spring in there somewhere but now I gotta tear both doors apart to fix it.. Sound like your problem?

Likely you need to install a new bumper kit in both doors. The original bumpers are poor quality and become torn. I've had both front doors repaired on my car. I think there is a TSB on this.

$10 for each kit if you do it yourself.

$90 per door if the dealer does it.

I've taken doors apart on other cars before and I can never get them back to fit right. Blah. Do you know where I can pick these parts up? Local dealer? I've been on a part buying rampage but no place carries parts! I found a rebuild kit for a staggering $1300 but I'd rather spend much less, unless its pure performance parts.

The GM dealer or GM parts direct, if you know the part number. It'* called a bumper kit.

my passenger door is stuck Unlocked.... i cant lock it manually either, i took the handle covers off to see if it was connected to the rod and it was, so im guessing i am in need of a "bumperr kit" too?
