Power windows quit on passenger side.
Are the passenger side power windows connected somehow? The first day we had a really good frost outside, both of the passenger side windows quit working at the same time. I tried to roll them down (just tapping the button), and heard the motor trying, but it wouldn't go down so I stopped. Didn't wanna burn up the motors, so I left it until the frost was gone. When the windows were completely dry, I tried again and nothing at all. Is there a relay for just the passenger side window motors or something? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm stupid. LOL

Truth be told I'm not sure... But I don't believe so... MY Best guess is if the was a cold breeze with the frost that possible... it might of shorted out the side it hit first... personal I'd open the door and see if there is and exposed wiring... Just an idea. Good Luck!

I'll take a look at it tomorrow and update the post. Thanks for the reply. :)

Unfortunately there is no relay just for the right side windows. My guess is that your window motors are in need of some persuasion. Since it's been cold, there has been a member or two with power seat motor problems that seem to be cold related too. Sometimes you can get lucky by giving the door panel a good whack in the location of the motor. Be carefull if it is cold though, the plastic becomes brittle at low temps.
Since it's such a pain to remove the door panels, give this a try. If it doesn't correct the problem then we'll have to dig a bit deeper. |
