Just put new ignition module on my 93 SSEi. Same on my 92??
Well, my 93 SSEi died the other day and I got it back together today. The ignition module (the box under the coil packs) was bad. Could this be what is wrong with my 92 SSEi also?? It just cranks but rarely starts. If it does start, it runs rough. This is the one I got the code 58 out of.
I'll be heading back to Missouri from Nebraska tomorrow so I will be able to troubleshoot it if anyone can give me any pointers.

I left my magic book at home, but I can tell you from memory that 92 had the OPTION of another type of coil. There were 2 types in 92, Delco and somthing else....can't remember. 93 and up all used delco. As far as I know, the control module is the same. You should be able to swap them if you wanted. I can get more details for you if you need it, including part numbers at about 11:30 west coast time. LMK if you need it.

My 92 has the same coils as my 93 does. Also the same coils my Electromotive ignition on my Z28 has. I know of a local salvage that has one that he would probably let me try to see if that is it.
I definitely know the car is getting fuel as the plugs are soaked when I pull them. However, the spark looks pretty weak to me when I see it.

Why don't you just swap the good module over from the 93? Put the 92'* in the 93, also, and see if the problem switches cars. Best troubleshooting I ever heard of!
