Power Steering Pumps

I need to replace my power steering pump but I also need to look to see which one it is ,
either the TFE ( two flow electronic ) or the ordinary CB pump.
My question is was the TFE commonly used ?

Thanks

Check your RPO codes. Do you have T2V?

The pump may come out the top if you remove the alternator first. But you may have a better time out the bottom, so put the car on ramps ahead of time just in case. You'll need bottom access for removal anyway.

I've only pulled mine when pulling the entire accessory bracket. You can access the bolts just fine from the top though.

Thanks for the info Willwren , I do have T2V , I ordered the correct pump from Pine Ridge part # 2042832 it comes in tomorrow, still have to switch over the valve from the old pump.
They told me the complete unit is not avalable .
I had no luck with the GM dealer I will have to return the pump I bought from them , they were sure that it was the correct one but it wasn't.

The car is up on stands , can't seem to get it out from the bottom I've tried all sorts of ways very frustrating. I going to try and remove the pulley where it is .

The pump from the dealer was correct, all I had to do was change over the electric valve to the new pump.
I borrowed a puller from Canadian Tire and removed the pulley while the pump was still in the engine bay. I pulled the pump up as high as it could come and tilted it up so I could get the puller on. The pump came out the bottom easily.
I had to put the pully on the new pump after it was past the steering rack, its easier than it sounds the most difficult part was just starting the mounting bolts.
I bleed the system with the wheels off the gound moving the steering wheel lock to lock about 60 times but I still had a few air bubbles but it might be ok.
