Is a power steering filter routine maintenance?
 

I was browsing RockAuto when I came across an item called a power steering filter. I've never heard of it before. Is this something that needs to be changed at a set interval, like all the other filters?

First I have heard of it, and that is saying a lot.

i can honestly say i've never seen one installed before...

They sell them presumably, I seem to remember water filters (went inline with the top radiator hose) being marketed at one time, seems a better idea than P/S filters.

First I've heard of it... I'm calling the mechanic buddy to tell him they exist...lol

The only problem is you need a left hand metric screwdriver.
