vaccum modulator
hey guys, quick Q, vaccum modulator was out,(leaking fluid into the body of the VM) went to auto zone for another one, the one that i got was alot differant looking then my old one, my old one was pretty big around, the new one is quite smaller then that one was, it was the only part # listed for a 94 bonne, did they change up the design or something, or did i get a wrong one, i noticed it doesent shift like it use to after installing the new one, seems to now have long and higher then normal RPM shifts, just curious. Thanks guys.

the number does correspond so it must be the one, was wondering just because it looks much smaller then the one that i took off.. guess the designs changed. looked under the hood before i went to wk, the back three plugs were all overlapping the o2 sensor wire, the were moved, some power restored, i think that the TPS is off voltage wise.. havent cheked it but will very soon.

Check your new modulator for an adjustment screw. Most new modulators are adjustable, so you can firm up (quicken) your shifts if you choose. I have one that is adjustable. It is smaller than the OEM modulator.

hey hey, In reply to your question, no i have no adjustment screw on this one. although i wish there were.... Im not going to complain too much about the car, it still runs like crap, but not as much crap as it was hehhe, today im going to get some forsale signs and get out from under it before it crushes me. The first with 1700.00 drives it home!

The adjustment screw won't be on the outside body of the modulator if you have one. It'* inside the nipple on front of the unit where your vac line connects. You use a small flat blade screwdriver to tighten (firm shifts) or loosen (softer shifts) the screw.
