Performance Shift/Normal Shift
Hi guys, ive got a question thats been bugging me for a little while.... on the 92+ theres performance shift/normal shift buttons on the center console and i realized that franky doesnt have them (*cough*randy*cough*)
now do these buttons have wires that run to the ecm or do they go somewhere else? because i was thinking of adding them in somewhere but i dont have a 97 fsm so i dont know where the wiring goes..... |
Mmm Randman grabbed his 97 electrical book.
I believe these do run to the PCM, however... my butt o meter can't tell the difference in the two modes. |
Without the switch, it shifts in Performance. In Normal shift, it retards the shift from the PCM default. Most can't tell.
All it does is switch a resistor into the circuit across two pins of the PCM. |
