Default A/C Belt and compressor problems

Just recently I started my 93 bonni to hear a loud squeeking noise. I open my hood to find the ac belts pulley is rubbing against my ac compressor(?), just dragging it along with the speed of the belt, causing that horrible sound and a loud clicking sound. Also, when i drove it my brake light came on on occasion even though the brake wasnt locked. Being new to cars and all, i was wondering if anyone had any idea what the problem might be with the ac and if its a do-it-yourself job or not..

My A/C never worked ever since it came into my posession but I never have it on if that helps.

Remove the belt and try to turn the ac pulley. It sounds like the compressor is siezed?
You can buy a shorter belt and omit the ac if you dont have any plans on fixing it?

Default Brake Light

As far as the brake light is concerned, you either have a short in the switch(not likely), or your brake fluid is low.

When off, it does rotate somewhat, but feels like every half turn it becomes a lot more harder to rotate. When i start the engine i noticed that it will do a couple rotations and then get caught for half a second, before spinning a few more times and repeating the process. I do plan on replacing it when i get paid, thing is is it a do-it-yourself job or not, as i understand i need to get it discharged before doing anything.

Okay I finally had a day off and time to look at the problem and it seems that the a/c bearing has been worn down. I took off the belt and found the pulley can comfortably be moved left/right/up/down. Its gonna be a while till i got the money for a new compressor so i was wondering if anyone here had tips on how to omit my a/c.

Is there a pulley bracket i can put in place of the a/c compressor that just holds an idle pulley(dealership nearby say no such thing exists for my ride)? Is there a way to adjust my belt tensioner so a shorter belt won't rub onto itself? Any advice would be welcome

Default belt

not sure on your car but my 90 SSE did the same thing and I was able to
get a shorter bypass belt bypassing the whole thing.
It was shown on the underhood sticker and in the haynes manual.
