patch job on tranny pipe
one of my lines running under my radiator coming FROM the tranny sprung a leak (rusted) i removed the rust and patched her up with the playdoh crap that turns into cement. Well that didnt work...
i was wondering if the first method would fix the leak... HowStuffWorks "How To Fix Leaky Pipes and Joints"
any ideas? (im not replacing the whole thing...)

Personally I wouldn't bubble gum a high pressure line that if it leaks enough will blow your transmission from lack of fluid.
A new like costs around $20-$25 from the dealer last time I did mine. You could also get some trans pressure hose and a couple fuel injector clamps per side. Yes, use two per side of the fix.

so i should pretty much cut the rusted line around like 3-4" and use a high pressure hose with the injector clamps right? (just making sure)
i ran through a 4L bottle already from January so i hope i haven't done any damage :/

i was thinking of cutting most of the line off since its rusted like hell, so i dont end up redoing the job again after a while. Is it safe to run the rubber line with a larger length (say 60cm) ?

Sure, get the high pressure transmission hose and you could run the entire way.
BTW, now I see why you bawked at getting lines at the dealer. You're Canadian Eh! Land of the highest autoparts prices.

just make sure you get "fuel injector clamps" because the screw type ones rust out after a little while and then your line pops off then your trans fluid goes everywhere but back to the transmission.
