HOW TO FLUSH TRANSMISSION COOLER IN RADIATOR
I'm replacing my engine / trans ... I read some of the post on how to do the replacement but I'm unsure as to the best way to flush out the old trans fluid from the radiator. I will be removing the radiator while replacing the motor so could someone please tell me the best way to clear out any old trans fluid from it before I install my new unit.

Gravity will do it. It'* just a vertical tube in one side of the radiator. Simply disconnect the lines and let it drip. Blow it out with compressed air if you want.

You can buy an aerosol flush for tranny coolers. I used compressed air first, then the flush, then air again. I had to cut the fitting off the vinyl hose that came attached to the can and enlarge it with a conical piece of metal so that it would slip over the flared end of tubing. This is mentioned with other trans prep items in this thread: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=29367
