Default Charging system problem

I am in a crisis.... my battery and alternator are no longer putting out enought volts to run A/C Head lights, and subwhoofers... So.. I went and put a new alternator and batt. on her. Does the same damn thing... What could it be.... It dips way down when it hits but its charging low even with only the HL'* and the A/C on.... I have no idea.

Your alternator isn't putting out enought power. You are going to need a cap, or a larger alt, or both. What size alternator do you have? And what is the power rating on your audio system [total amps, which have an amp for 'em {not including pre-amps}]

Check your grounds all over first just to make sure you don't throw money to the wind. Cleaning them won't hurt so you've got nothing to lose.

check voltage at the alternator and battery. Clean the alternator mounts/bolts, clean the ground that goes from the battery to the bolt under the coil packs...uhm..yeah

Follow every single cable from the battery. Find the ends, take them apart, and clean them. Just like everyone else is saying. Without your amp/subs running, is it still a problem?

With the amp and subs off it only charges to 12-13.... it was 14-14.5 before. Even with the Subs.

I think you've established it'* not the alternator

I'd do what these guys say and check the connections
It couldn't hurt to check the belt aswell, I had a similar problem with my truck a few months back
I thought it was the alternator, so I bought a used one
in the end it was just my belt slipping
