Parking lamp relay
 

I'm looking for the parking lamp relay. I want to tap into the lead for it that is parking lamp lead, not the blinker lead, so when i hook up my secret, it doesn't blink with the blinkers....

I don't believe there is a relay. Don't have my schematics handy (out in the car)...but I believe parking lamps get power direct from the switch itself. There's a circuit breaker built in to it. You'll have to pull the headlight switch (not hard to do) and hunt for power when the parking lamps are on.

So if i wired some angel eyes to come on with the parking lamps they'd blink in turns if i did it under the hood?

No. Parking lights don't blink.
Turn signals blink.

Well i guess i'll hunt for the parking light wires then. Cause the parking lamps are just the turn signals but on full bore. When you blink, they flash i thought.... Uh time to pull out my wiring diagrams again...

Different circuit, Jason. Turn signals are dedicated. Parking lamps are too. If you wire to the parking lamp circuit, nothing will blink.

Ok i musta thought they had a relay, i saw it like that on the diagrams but i didn't see any real pictures.... :twisted: I have to go check my mail now.

The bulbs are dual filament bulbs, three wires to each bulb.

Well i just wired the angels up straight with their switch. :D

Ooookay, a number of points to clear up here that several people have mentioned, in no particular order:

1) The parking lights are protected by the external lighting fuse, which covers all outside lights except the headlamps.

2) Output to the parking light/taillamp circuit is the solid-brown wire coming out of the headlight switch. Put 12 volts in that wire and your parking/taillamps will come on.

3) The circuit breaker built into the headlamp switch protects the headlamp circuits only.

4) The parking lights do not have a relay, although sometimes aftermarket alarms or remote starters will add a relay to inject power into the circuit via the brown wire at the headlamp switch, so they can blink the parking lights at you.

5) If you want to connect the halo LEDs of your AngelEyes to your parking lamp circuit, you only need to tap into the nearest brown wire, such as at the back of your turn signals. Just make sure you're tapping the parking-lamp circuit, not the turn-signal circuit for that side.
