hood release cable broken... now what?
so i'm in the middle of replacing my trans lines, i need to race to the store to pick up some teflon tape. drop the hood come back and the hood won't open, the relese cable broke right at the end.
removing the handle to gain acess to the cable proved worthless as well. i grabed it with a pair of channel locks and pulled as hard as i could... nothing happened. i'm boned.
how can i fix this?

Depends on where the cable broke.... You may be able to reach a hand in under the car not too far from the air box and find the release cable.... If its still attached to the Hood latch, you should be able to pull the H*** out of the cable and pop the hood...

desparatly need a pic of the hood latch assembly with the hood open. maybe a pic of how the latch actually attaches to the rad support.
