Default 5w30 stead of 10w30?

would using 5w30 make any difference in my engine? seeing as how i work at a ford dealer we have 5w20 and 5w30, so i could get free oil, but if it would be bad then i dont wanna

thats what i use, 5w30 synthetic. Good for winter but I use it all year around
