Default LIM removal

What'* the deal when removing the lower intake. Are there bolts under the UIM or can the UIM and the LIM be removed as a unit. Do the fuel lines need to be diconnected or is it easyer to remove the injectors and rail. Do I need special tools to remove either the injectors or fuel lines.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do that.

For now it'* a 1992 SE.

I did see that article and it appeared that there were bolts under the upper, this was a supercharged engine, is it the same for the non-supercharged version. It also appears that the injectors and rail were removed, was a "special" tool needed?

Thanks again

The LIM bolts should still be in the same area. I think there are 2 of them that like to hide under dirt and stuff. The write up will let you know how many bolts there are, so count. Changing the gaskets will still be about the same as a supercharged engine.
