P0107 and P0108 + question about MAP sensor

I have P0107 and P0108 error codes. All the wires seem secure and in place. I did clean up the sensor. When I take out the MAP sensor there are no changes in the operation of the engine. There are 5 volts coming to the sensor. I tried resetting, but the codes came back up.

For those who disabled reading the signatures, my car is 1996 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE SE V6 3.8L 231cid GAS FI N Engine VIN = K.

I have GM# for this sensor = 16187556 (some places list it as AS49, some as AS59). I have found on ebay GM#9359409 (standard #AS155), and seller lists my car under the models it will fit. Do you guys think that will work (if I were to replace the sensor)? When I did search on AC Delco's site with my VIN #, I got 213-796 which turns out ti be the same for both GM part #s.

Please go to Techinfo and copy/paste the error code descriptions for us so we don't have to go look them up. We don't have them memorized.

It is odd to me that you have both codes. I would expect the sensor to either fail high or low through design....not both.

You mention resetting the code. How did you do that?

Yes I did have two codes initially. I did the reset using OBDII reader. I tried disconnecting the battery for ~10 minutes when I had two codes (I think, I did not have reader back than).

Now, I did reset again, and I have only P0107 (no P0108). Any ideas other than faulty sensor?

DTC P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage

The sensor is clean from dirt and has 5V reference voltage coming in as it should, all wires seem to be in place and not loose.
