Tranny parts.
I was thinkin bout gettin these part for the tranny in Jan/Feb. I am going to be installing it when I do my tranny flush and put B&M Trick Shift in. Should I get all three of them, just one of them, or a combination of the two. I was wondering if anybody had experience witht them or heard anything good/bad as well.
AutoTrans Interceptor Electronic Modulator is a permanent adapter plugged into the existing wiring harness with adjustable microprocessors.
Increase transmission line pressure reducing burnt clutches & bands
Eliminates the need to install complicated valve body kits
Compatible with specific computer controlled transmission applications
Tighten up those shifts and put a little snap in your driving
Easy, plug in installation
The AutoTrans Interceptor cleans up the vehicle'* signal, while improving shift quality and increasing vehicle performance. Fine tune your transmission!
Tired of the mushy shifting of your transmission? Snap it up to your liking with this Thrasher Shift Improver Kit. This kit allows the tailoring of your shift feel to the way you like it. You select the improvement desired modification level from mild (noticeable improvement) to wild (bang-screech) that best suits your taste and driving style. This kit can be easily installed in a driveway by any competent shadetree mechanic in about 1 hour with hand tools, jack stands, drip pan (for tranny fluid), and a torque wrench. Detailed instructions are included, of course.
The kit uses a dual spring setup (similar to a valve spring) and precision height shims which are placed inside the 1-2 and 2-3 accumulators. The accumulators are piston and spring assemblies located inside the valve body of the transmission which control the rate at which fluid pressure gets applied to the clutch packs when shifting gears. The valve body is located above the pan on the bottom of the transmission. (While you're in there you might as well change the filter.) Slow pressure rise means a soft shift. A rapid rise gives a quick positive shift yielding minimal slip. Factors such as spring pressure, accumulator cylinder volume, piston travel, pump capacity, and line pressure all interact to yield shift time and slip. By controlling several of these parameters simultaneously the shift quality can be altered to a more acceptable level.
Speed limiter removed
3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts
Transmission line pressure increased
Shift points moved (5800-6000rpms)
Fan turn on points altered as follows:
186 degree F turn on
2 minute fan on at key-off (this feature activates when engine coolant is 179 degrees or greater)
MAF calibration adjusted for proper year
Fuel/spark adjustments as follows:
Enrichens fuel delivery for critical problem areas
Provides a consistent power gain across the entire power band
Reduces spark retard (knock retard)
Removes "40MPH WOT lag"

do you know if the AutoTrans Interceptor Electronic Modulator and that chip can work for the 4T60E tranny as well as the 4T65E or if they have one for it? also, do you know any prices for them?

DHP and the Thrasher shift kit are the best deal. it also only works on the 4t65-e
The 4T60-e has a better modulator and with DHP they shift a bit better. The best way to improve your 4T60-e is to get a "4T60-e hd performance transaxle", they are blueprinted and the best 4t60-e you can buy.
The other option is NO GOOD!
look on the Thrasher site they covered the very product and confirmed it was no good.

Yes the interceptor is no good. Thrasher made a similar unit and….. http://www.thrashercharged.com/L67_h...emodifier.shtm
It’* a product that "works" but really doesn’t do anything.
Now for the shift harder issue.. no and yes and how do you drive?
LoL it can destroy your tranny if it is worn out and you set it to the hardest setting and drive hard all the time.
If you want a better shift then just put set it to a more conservative setting and it will extend the life of your transaxle. You will want to go to the link I provide below and read about it yourself.

Hope that helped.
