Finally got around to working on the brakes portion of the "rebuild" process. The PMV was known to be bad and the fornt wheel bearings were on the way. I replaced all of the above today along with new rear shoes, cylinders, and springs. Funny thing is, the traction control light had always come on before right at 15 mph and stayed on. I guessed that after these repairs, this particular issue would be fixed as a bonus. SURPRISE!!! It still comes on right at 15 mph and stays on. Rear WSS maybe?? The rear bearings were on the list to be replaced, but I checked them today and they felt great. Is there anyway to test the rear WSS?

This may sound stupid but is you're brake fluid topped off? The TC will not work unless all of you're brake components function properly. It could be a short in the system too. Does the ABS work?

ABS hasn't worked for quite some time, thus the replacement of the already diagnosed PMV. Once everything was installed, I pressure bled the entire system. All new fuild and fushed each line. Albeit with a homemade pressure bleeder, but it worked like the berries. You should have seen the muck coming out ot the old PMV and lines. Since the traction control light is still on, I an unsure if the ABS is working or not. I suspect no, but the ABS light is not coming on. I want to think it is one of the rear WSS since the light doesn't come on until I hit 15 mph.

Willwren had mentioned to me that this is probably a wheel sensor and to pull my wheels and power wash all it all down. Mine is intermittent..but I'm probably going to wash it tomorrow...see if I can find the problem.

Possibly suggest you try the same for the rears

I power washed the rears, no change. Since I am rebuilding the chassis, I went ahead and replaced the rears bearing/hubs/sensors, no change. What is left? The EBCM?

Check the level sensor on the PMV reservior, and I believe there IS a way to check the WSS with a meter. Might be easier with an analog meter as opposed to digital. Don't have my FSM handy right now, but I can check tonight.

The PMV res looks full. I pressure bled the system 3 times to make sure. Kind of hard to tell since the PMV did not come with a new res and I had to reuse the old one, cleaned it up as much as I could. I have to believe the WSS'* are good since all 4 hubs have been replaced .... wait, I'll double check them as soon as I know how (remembering the 4 bad EGR'* I had off of the shelf). The light is acting the same as it was before the PMV and hub replacement. Start car, runs through the self test, no light until you hit 15 mph, then tracion off comes on. I am wondering if the EBCM will retain a code and needs to be reset? Also wondering if I might be the first to experience an EBCM failure? Hell, I am stumped. Wish we could read codes off the EBCM. I did have the dealer pull codes for me a few months ago and they reflected PMV failure, can't remember the exact codes right now, have them somewhere.

You re-used the reservior from the old PMV, so that level sensor in the reservior should be checked. You can try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes to clear the codes that may be stored in the EBCM, but I believe they would clear themselves during the self-test at startup.

Excellent point! I will check this tonight or tomorrow depending on what time I get home. I have been looking but I cannot find a test procedure for the level senor on the PMV res, nor a part number. Bill, if you could look up the procedure if it'* listed in the FSM I would appreciate it.
