It'* odd! Electrical parts all gone then back.
Hi guys, this is about my 96 SE with 170k again. It'* odd. The day before yesterday, when I went to parking lot heading for home, I found car didn't response to remote. I pulled the door handle, no lights came on. Opened the door with the key and tried starting the engine. No light, no sound, no nothing! Took the key out, opened the door and suddenly, light came back on and everything became normal. I started the car and noticed the clock was even re-set! But everything is fine since then. So wha'is going on? It'* really odd, isn't it? Thanks.

There is a good chance you have a loose battery cable or a bad ground at the ground buss located at the driverside front door. Pull back the carpet and find the loom, follow it up until you located the rectangular item taped to it. Check the grounds for good connection.

Hi Bill, thanks. I will check those. But honestly, even I find out that the ground is indeed not good, I will not be convinced. Even the clock was re-set! I would think that the worst ground in the universe should be able to provide enough current and voltage for the clock. Also keep in mind, before and after that incident, everything runs perfectly and car always starts up super easily.

Even the fuel pump is routed though that ground I mentioned. It'* spooky. But it would appear that since the entire car was dead the battery cables are probably a better probabllity.
