Default drivers door....trunk button?

so 95 bonn and since the cupholders suck a lot everytime the door is slammed whatever is in it splashes up onto the door, unfortunately this has happened to many times so now the trunk button is stuck in completely, meaning everytime i put car in neutral/park it pops. getting pretty annoying, just wondering if anyone has tried pulling the grey outlay around the button off? or is it an involved proccess?

Never had mine out. You may have to pull the door skin partly off to get to it. Have you tried squirting some glass cleaner or alcohol in there? And add some better cupholders to each side of your center console like this:

Yeah, the door "cupholders" do suck!! Hardly even worth using for spare change.

Like Will said, before you go pulling stuff apart, try using some sort of self drying cleaner in there (If you're going to use alcohol or anything flamable, I would suggest unhooking the battery, tho. Better safe than wise).

In the meantime, you should have a switch in the trunk to turn that switch off.

The trunk release swithc will pull out without removing the skin, take the switch apartas it'* only three peices, (don't loose the spring) Clean everything and let it dry overnight. Worked for mine.

There is no disable/valet switch in the trunk or glovebox on a 93, I'd bet the 95 is the same. The only way to disable it is to either pull the fuse (which feeds other stuff) or disconnect the switch or unlatch solonoid.

They're the generic cupholders from any auto parts store. Usually hung from the window trim. I removed the straps, and used 3M exterior trim tape (grey, with red peel layer) to attach them to the center console after cleaning the console very well with alcohol (not beer).

And they're the right color.......and hold a big gulp (but not at .75 lateral g'*.)
