Default Fuel rail and injectors compatibility?

I'm swapping a 01 l67 from a Regal into my 97 SSEi. Can anyone tell me if the fuel rail and the injectors are the same and will work or should I swap mine into the new motor? If so, than why? The fuel rail looks a little different and has a round molded steel piece before it goes into the TBody on the 01.????? Thanks
