Oil leaking after oil change

I am experiencing a leak after an oil change . . I thought it was the filter . ( oil dripping down from gasket . I carefully installed 2nd new filter and still hve a leak . I guess I need to take a closer look at the sending unit .

look at dates when you post in old threads, its easier for us if you make a new one and explain the problem you are having

wipe down the area real good. Then check for any leakage. If you don't see anything, use a clean paper towel and dab around that area. Check for any oil on the paper towel. If need be, drive around a bit. Be sure to check above that area as well as the oil could be running down from above.

did you change from conventional to synthetic?

I chased an oil leak on a Ford Bronco I had after an oil and filter change. I finally discovered, after removing the filter; that the rubber gasket from the old filter was stuck to the oil filter seat on the engine. I couldn't get a good enough seal and torque with the two gaskets. I removed the old one and leak went away!

yeah that's very popular with Chrysler filters.
