Default heater problems

i have a 1995 sse and when i start my car and let it warm up the automatic heater will either be blowing cold air or hot it never does what it needs to do. i found that if its blowing cold air when the car is warmed up. all i have to do is shut the car off a few time and it will work. but when it finally goes to hot it will run you out the car. Plzz help me fig out this problem.

Sounds like your air mix actuator is sticking. Look behind your glove box, you will see the air mix arm. Watch to see if it moves freely.

ok i will check that if it is sticking could i just clean it or is that what i would need to replace.

Depends on what'* wrong with it. most likely it will need to be replaced.
