Well I seen the same problem last week while visiting a friend at work ( he is a mechanic). Fan at full speed no matter what you do, car on or off.

It was on a buick ( century I think, approx a 2000) it ended up being a control box under the dash on the passenger side of the dash. This "box" is what controls the speed of the fan and this particular one had the contacts for the high speed stuck on.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Mike above, since the control head is controlled by a "module" not just a relay, this could be your problem

Default blower motor keeps running

Thanks for all the input . fixed it today. replaced blower motor control module on top of blower heater box located under fuse & relay strip on fire wall engine compartment. Does have climate control. rememebered GM '* use to use reostat. maybe still do on some models. cost for part $100.00 at dealer . Auto parts cann't get , Delco will not supply anymore.Weird!!! Thanks again
