Default fuel filter pt 3..........pcv pt 1

well...just like evreyone to know...that premium fuel tastes gross...burns the eyes liek hell....but cleans tools very well...! well i finally went and got one...i wanted a delco but went w/ a fram...dont know why...figured it woudl work for now...well i got the car up on teh ramps...found the filter in the front passenger side of the car...and started on the rusted to hell bolt...well i finally got it off and the bolt was stuck in the 10 MM socket...then the sucky part began...tryin to get them damn hoses off......well i started on the one from the tank...(btw @ begginning i turned the car off by pullin the fuel pump fuse..)well i started at that thing...was playin w/ it for a long time...in the mean time im buring my arm on the exhaust...it hurt...then i finally started to get it and noticed a litttle gas leakin...figured it would just drip a little...so i moved hte bucked...and pulled the hose offf...BIG MISTAKE stupid thing was spraying a crap load...sprayin from the tank..and from the filter a lot...all ove rmy face...arm...tools...but none in the bucket..(lol)...well i was pissed...got up and washed off my arm..left my eyes..they burned but i didnt care...so i got back under there...and got the other side off...after like 10 min of workin w/ it...then i put the fram on and it went good....


pcv...whiel i was there i decided to pick one up...since i didnt know what one was and people on here was sayin to replace it...well i got one...didnt know where to locate it though and its not in tech info...but i think ill write somethin up on it...if i can...well i finally found it and took it out...what is the oil on it...sc oil? well i got it off the spring and the spring on the new one put it back in and then went to start the car...took a while for it to start...then it ran like **** for about 15 seconds...ran like a tractor and then ran beautifully...and it corrected m;y one problem i had...the one where i turn right under 1/2 tank and it stalled...well i had about 1/4 and i turned right and floored it...didnt stall...i was happy...thanks for all the help and stuff w/ the filter....by the way what did i do wron gon depressurizing it? i think it was gas tank cap? am i right...thanks again...


what does the pcv valve do again?

Default I want to change pvc aswell!

Ive wantting to change me pvc valve as well can somebody tell mne where it is located please?

SInce you have the supercharged model...

The PCV valve is located on top of the supercharger. Take the plastic cover off the engine and you will now have a clear view of the SC. The PCV valve is under a black square piece of metal held on with two 10mm bolts. It should have PCV stamped on top. Take out the bolts and lift the PCV out and replace. Really easy.

Check the gasket...if it'* ok just reuse it. If not, you will need to get a new one. Hard part to find. I had to go to the dealer and took two tries before I finally got the right part.

The PCV valve just vents any crankcase fumes back to the intake. It'* an emissions thing. In case there are any explosive gasses, you get another chance to burn them off. That'* engine oil on it, not SC oil.
