Default clunk when shifting from park to reverse

My '92 SSE supercharged almost always clunks when shifting from park to reverse. It'* more noticeable when shifting on an incline, which seems logical to me, but it also clunks on a level surface. The motor mounts and tranny mounts were checked not long ago, and the front driver'* side tranny mount was replaced.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Default

Mine was doing that for a while, eventually I was getting the same clunk while driving at low speeds and lifting off the throttle, and also when I started moving.

Turned out my rear, passenger side tranny mount was loose. A good tightening fixed it.

Default clunk

Check all the mounts and exhaust for proper clearance. There is an area behind the cat thats pretty tight and could hit.
