o-ring seal for heater pipe??
 

ok, i think the steel line comming out of the water pump housing on the block is leaking, i just changed the water pump gasket again after i completely replaced the water pump 2 months or so ago, my question is does the steel line have a o-ring gasket to seal it?? and if so how in the heck does it come out :? ?? any help on this would be great! oh also part # for the gasket would be great if there is a gasket. thanks.

Never had an L67 apart... But if there is a divet in the pipe, Bet money there's an o-ring.

the steel line looks like it comes out of the water pump housing looks like it should be sealed the same way the one commin out of the lower intake manifold, im still thinkin its a o-ring...

Put an O-Ring on it, Can't hurt.

but the real question is how do i get the steel line out? yank on it like hell till it pops out?? :?

I just ordered me one from the dealership today and it comes with the O-Ring gasket. It has 1 bolt/screw or whatever you want to call it going into the lower intake manifold and if you feel your way down it there is a bracket which has one more going into the block. Ive tried to pull the sucker out but I dont think it can be done without removing this metal line running to the power steering pump. But yes if we are talking about the same thing, there IS an O-Ring seal and you pretty much have to get the same exact one because its hard to put it back in with a gasket bigger than the hole by even 1mm. Just dont try to screw it in and force the gasket in there with the tightening of the screw if it doesnt go in, I tried that and now I am having to buy a new pipe which is ok because I get the gasket I needed in the first place, lol.

You have to remove the PS pump to get the pipe out.

The '95 and '93 may not be the same, but on my '93 SSEi I just removed the bolt for the welded mounting bracked and pulled the pipe out. It was in there pretty tight and required quite a bit of pulling.

I made the mistake of not replacing the o-ring when I reassembled it, and the o-ring began leaking soon after that. I tried to replace it with a slightly thicker one just for good measure, but as someone else noted, it was too tight.
