Is it even possible? Has anyone attempted it before? If so, what parts would I need to make it happen?

you could get a getrag they bolt up to the 3.8....you would need a custom flywheel, clutch setup, and alot of metal work....not to mention the problem with the PCM

So taking the center console with the shifter and putting it in a column shifter isn't gonna work?

No, since you still have an automatic

Wait, are you asking about swapping the automatic out for a manual transmission, or just switching from the column shifter to the floor shifter? I would think that the latter would be quite possible, if that'* what you're asking.

Seems like it would be a few tons of surgery to convert from column to floor shift. But with $$ & resources I'm sure it could be done.

I wouldn't think it would be that hard. Find a donor car in a yard somewhere, steal the entire center console and shift cable... maybe also the steering column (to avoid still having a non-functional column shifter). Wouldn't that be it?

EDIT: Oh, and probably bucket seats too.

Yeah, it would be a PITA. But it'* possible, if you really want to do it anyway.

Okay I didn't mean to manual, I meant from column shift to floor shift.

So it is possible then you guys think? Need the cable and the console?

I have (probably) access to an entire interior so I'm contemplating this as a possibility.
