Default SES light on, but no trouble codes found

Hello all,

I'm hoping somebody here can help me. I'm getting an SES light, but when I run a scan tool on the car, it says no trouble codes found. I'm able to monitor all of the other items in real-time, but for some reason it doesn't find any trouble codes...current or history. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks!

I know it can pull at least some codes from the car. I've pulled codes with the exact same scan tool in the past.

Does anybody know if the Auto X-Ray has some codes that it can't read for my car?

Thanks!

If you find that your scan tool does not read specific codes, try going to a local Autozone. I hear from other members that they pull codes for free.

Thanks guys!

I went to Autozone, but they couldn't get their scan tool to work. They were seeing some type of link error. I think it might be because my car is sort of in-between OBD I and II. I brought it to Checker and they pulled a MAF code. I bought a new sensor and will put it in tomorrow.

Thanks!

It is OBD 1.5 They cannot read it. You will need a OBD I scantool with a OBD II hybrid cable.
