:? I Installed A New Thrush High Flow Glass Pack In Place Of The Oem GM muffler. imediateley And frequently, but not always The Motor Hesitates Upon Acceleration Under Load. The Motor Has About 25k On It And I Think It Is Fully Maintained. What Gives. I Treat My Mistress With A Lot Of Tlc And I Did Not Expect Anything But An Improvement. Bonnie Clair Always Gets 76 Premium And Frequent Dosings Of Lucas Fuel Treatment. HELP, PLEASE! :?:

Did you drop the exhaust to install the muffler? Simple replacement of the muffler should cause no driveability issues. What else may have been disturbed? O2 sensor in the exhaust? Could you have plugged your cat converter? Have you done anything with your throttle linkage, throttle body, or mass air flow sensor recently?

A Few Days Previous I Went To TR55s and i noticed that the bosch double plats I had in had been running Hot.

A simple muffler change should not cause a hesistation.

Although..you did go from a slight restriction muffler that you won't be able to outflow to a wide open..zero restriction tube with a couple absorbtion holes in it.

Can you check that when the plugs were changed that one of the wires isn't laying on the O2 wiring..

and BTW.. WHAT YEAR/MODEL ARE YOU ASKING US ABOUT?
I'm assuming the one in your name????

He still needs to update his signature. It's an L27.

Quit using premium. It's of no benefit to you, and there is no more 'power' in 91-93 octane than 87. You're wasting your money. Lucas fuel treatment? Any more than once a year is a waste. You don't need it. Some of these things may actually be causing you issues. Longterm frequent use of additives may destroy plugs and sensors. Modern fuels have plenty of detergents to not need anything else.

Premium fuel with higher octane is harder to ignite than 87.

I'm moving this to 92-99. This isn't a Performance issue. This is a mechanical issue unrelated to the glasspack.

For now, this is a 94 L27.

Ok Ww! I Love To Save Money What About That Low Octane Knock I Always Read About?

willwren 06-07-2007 10:17 AM

You aren't supercharged. L67's REQUIRE premium, yours doesn't.

Let me say this as kindly as I can.

If you don't tell us what the vehicle is.. we would be guessing and possibly wasting time and your money. Putting this in your sig or specifiying it in your post will help greatly.

Quoting.. please..ask if you don't understand how it's done. It makes your posts tough to understand.... Secondly..quoting of WillWren.. your answer sounds sarcastic to me, that's not a way you would like to be interpreted when asking for help.

When you say recently "cleaned" wires, can you please elaborate. Did you clean old wires that might need to be replaced? Did you remove them to clean them?

He is posting from a cellphone and can't access his profile. I've updated his signature for him.

I believe his cell browser is screwing up the quotes, so it's best just not to quote for now.

He has a 94 SE (L27). The next time he posts, his sig should show. One of the items included in the sig is a removed MAF screen. This may be part of the problem. Please put it back in.
