does anyone know what the specific coolant the bonneville needs?

yours use the regular green stuff. The 96 and newer uses the Dex-Cool antifreeze.

Green 50/50 mix. Prestone, or peak are the best things to use. Don't ever use dex-cool.....

I disagree. DexCool isn't bad. Just can't let the coolant level get low.

I've had DexCool in a couple cars that had over 200,000 miles on them and never had one issue. Never flushed the systems either. It was just a matter of making sure that the level in the radiator and overflow bottle were at the proper levels.

If your car came with it, as stated in 96 and newer cars, then ya better keep useing it.

Be careful with this one. His 95 may have been converted. Telling him to put in the green in that situation is bad news.

Read the Dexcool info in Techinfo. There'* a couple articles, I think.
