UIM Project questions *** UPDATED WITH PICS ***
Hi all,
I recently noticed my coolant level going down on my 1995 Bonneville SLE 133k miles at a pretty good rate. About 1/2 a liter ( the amount in a small Poland Springs Water bottle) every 600 miles. I can see coolant in the little nooks and crannies around the UIM. So I've decided to replace the UIM and the LIM gasket at the same time. My brother, the wonder mechanic, is going to do the work and I'm going to help. I want to confirm what parts I need. I've done a search on this forum and I think I have everything, but I just wanted to confirm before I order the parts. I guess I just need a little hand holding. The parts I need are as follows:
1) Upper Intake Manifold. I'm probalbly going to order a GM UIM and I believe it comes with the appropriate gaskets. Can someone confirm this?
2) Lower Intake Manifold Gaskets.
3) Coolant Elbow ( Is this necessary?)
Is this everything?
I'm thinking of ordering the UIM from this EBay link. Can someone take a look and see if this looks okay? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,

If at all possible, get the newer, all metal LIM gaskets. You MAY not need the coolant elbow, but it seems they are fragile and most people end up breaking them on removal of the LIM. It'* a cheap enough insurance part that you could probably return if not used.
Many recommend you get new injector O-Rings and replace them at the same time.

As said, the Dorman gets high marks from those who have used it. Don't fail to consider Bob Dillon'* remanned UIMs. He does good work and so far everyone who has used one has been satisfied. Plus you can't beat the price: $35.
