Default 93 SSE Sensor Switch for Rear struts Air Shocks

Mechanic replaced all 4 struts plus front lower and rear lower ball joints
When lowered to the ground the rear was to high the air shocks would not adjust to porper height even after running the engine. It took 3 day for the shock to settle down on there own. Question What is the correct operating positon of the arm on this rectangular shape sensor? At present the arm is straight out at a 3 o'clock position, viewing it form under trunk looking forward. Also can a electrical test be perform to see if is is working poroperly? Better still what is the best way to verify sensor is working correctly? I do not think the gabriel air shock are defective.
Thanks
Bob
