Balancer squeeking.
How? It'* driving me nuts. I have eliminated all other pulleys, the balancer squeeks, but get this....it'* only when a belt is on. Is it out of line or is something on it? It'* a new GatorBack too.

Hi Vin.. have you had a chance to look at the front of the balancer for cracks around the face? It'* possible that the rubber is getting ready to tear out and make much more rachet.

Still? If it hasn't outright failed by now, I doubt it'* the balancer. Maybe the water pump seals? Idler?
Remove one belt at a time and run it for a couple minutes. Which belt does it, or is it both?

It'* the SSE so inly 1 belt.
I removed the belt and it continued to squeel.....once. SO it gives me reason to believe its the balancer. I should just do the WP, which I have anyway.
I have my stock GTP balancer sitting here. Can't I just swap that on too?

GTP balancer may not work. There'* odd differences just between years of bonnevilles.
I suggest you carefully inspect around it for anything rubbing on the back side. Wiring harness, belt snot, whatever. Or pull it and inspect. Squeaking is rubbing. The HB can't make that noise from what I know about them.

Thats what'* pissing me off....there is NO WAY it could be the pulley itself. Its pressed on and its not actually turning the crank is.
I have heard about the differences in HB but didnt know the extent.

It only squeeked once with the belt off and it was contiunous until I turned the car off and restarted...then I couldn't get it to do it again. That'* how I ruled out the WP.
