New fuel pressure check reading - performance-caused?

If I have a fuel pressure reading that's just below 40psi, or right above 2.5 bar, at idle, that's fine, right? The fuel pressure jumps to around the high 40s with just some gas added, so that's just over 3 bar. Am I still all right? I have a calmly running engine with a 2.6" pulley, and I was wondering if running the engine like this may have stressed out the fuel pump so as to pump less fuel (by a couple PSI) over some time. The car seems good, and the fuel pump is quiet and consistent. Need I worry?

Moved to 92-99. This is where you need to post mechanical problems/questions.

I debated this for a while, but it was really hard to say exactly which forum I needed to use. I thought the P&B area would have been good to talk about fuel pressure and performance, and I don't believe my engine is showing any signs of trouble or anything like that. In fact, it's my transmission and its surrounding wheel bearings, tie rod ends, and struts that need help very badly. I'm on that, as I already have the struts.
