NEED To Replace 1995 Bonneville Rear Struts

I have a 1995 Bonneville with the electronic ride control. I have the struts that have the electronic sensors in them. I also have a switch for the performance handeling. GM no longer makes this shock and recomends the passive strut P/N22189459 at $800 for the set. How would I do this conversion and would it affect the front suspension?

I read this link earlier. What do I do with the electric sensors? I don't think this covers my suspension?

You don't unless you have between 450-800 apiece for the replacement struts, if they're even available any more.

They are not available any more. Do i just cut the sensors and use one of the suggested struts?

More like Disconnect the sensor and leave the harness end hanging. Throw the strut end out with the old strut.

Thank you, I just ordered the Struts. I went with Sach. I will install this weekend. Hopefully no more surprises

I had the shocks installed last week. Nice ride again. Thanks to all for the info. :)
