No matter what I do I can't back the two bottom shock bolts out on the one side. So far I have beat the crap out of them with a hammer, a sledge hammer, and tried impacting the other side. And I coated them with wd-40 hoping that would help.
I took the nuts, flipped them around, screwed them just shy of flush with the end of the bolt, and beat on the flat part of the nut so I didn't destroy the threads.
I have spare bolts and nuts too.
I was able to get the other side out with much less effort. :?
So, any suggestions?
Any liquid wrench type stuff?

PB Blaster is the stuff you want.

Randy and I ended up using an air chisel with blut tip to push them out. Just good ole NE corrosion and dirt in there. Keep at it... you'll get them.

Definitely PB Blaster. It'* good stuff!

Soak the area good and let it set for as long as you can stand it (at least 5 minutes). Spray them before lunch and work on them after, maybe.

PB Blaster I'll pick that up today or tomorrow.
Bill I actually just got an air hammer but I don't have any bits for it yet. Was the blunt bit that you used real short? There dosent seem to be a lot of room in there and all the bits I've looked at so far are long. :?

I agree; PB Blaster if that'* all you can find.

Or...I use something that seems to be even more powerful.. Aerokroil. Very, very good stuff.

If those don't work, you can always use the last resort. Heat up the nut with a blow torch then apply a bar of beeswax to it. Don't laugh! I'm serious. Works miracles. The hot beeswax acts as an awesome lubricant.

Yeah so I picked up the PB Blaster today. I'm still waiting on the top strut nut to come in. Hopefully that will happen by early next week.
vital49, I thought about heating it up but it'* the drivers side with the fuel hose right there. So, I shyed away from that idea.

I'm replacing the rear shocks with KYB GR2'* and I'm also putting 1.5" drop springs back there. GR2'* are going to go up in the front too with 2" drop springs.
I got the springs from the same place as paulnold did and I also asked for F41 spec.
Both drop springs are in the rear with one stock shock and one GR2. lol.
It dropped about 1.75" with a stripped trunk & doughnut.
I'm going to do the front this weekend, get the other GR2 in the rear early next week, and then get an alignment.
I'll post some pics and a review when it'* all said and done.

i had to weld air bag mounts in the back so if you do have to heat it up make sure you have a full tank or gas and take the gas cap off
