Booster Gauge
I just bought a black 1993 P.B. SSEi with 47,000 miles on it 76,000 kms Anyways i didn't notice this until the second day of owning the car (3 days now) that the Booster gauge stays centered never moves When I floor this puppy it still doesn't move off center It does move in the turn on ignition phase and then that it it ? Any help would be great one fella here purple Dino i thinktold me maybe the vacum If so can i fix this my self ? I have also found a small silver toggle switch on along the drivers side of the shilft console any idea!!Or is this a kill switch i flipped it idling in park and it clear the dash lights and the clocked lost its time! i notice the security light come on i did thid for only a few moments The car kinda rough idled after abit .. Then it was fine? Any help would be great i really want to learn what i can do to improve this fantastic car. ! thanks

Please post about just the switch in the electrical section.
And, yes, your MAP sensor (black box on the top on the engine, on a bracket above the rear valve cover) is likely dead, unplugged, or the vacuum line running to the bottom of it is unhooked or really cracked.

Well, the PCM doesn't see the MAP sensor. It'* there solely for the gauge. So if it'* bad or unplugged, it won't hurt performance. Now, if the vacuum line is cracked or unhooked, the unmetered air pulled in will give the PCM a hard time getting the mixture correct. I haven't seen too many of the sensors go bad, so my bet is the vacuum line. A free fix if it'* simply unhooked. The sensor is probably fairly cheap, I would guess. But take a good look at the vacuum line before you buy a new sensor.

Find this from the site here as well!?
An important tidbit of information is that if you have a Supercharged (from the factory) SE/SLE or SSE, you do NOT have a MAP sensor if your car is a 92-95.

thanks alot ao all here in this thread..! I miss read that article! I wonder where i would get an owners manual then i would know what i have here or is it better to get a haynes car book for the 1993 SSEi SCharged Bonny from a auto store? Then Maybe I can understand this booster gauhge thing cause as it sits in the center 98% of the time and when i step on it this bonny just goes as I just hold on to the steering wheel ! lol So I felt around seem to not be a vacum leak that i can find ! So what could it be the gauge does go through the normal movement all gauges do in the start up phase no problem and it it moved backwards from center point once aboout a quarter ways ..
