Need a MEMCAL

I am having a heck of a time finding a MEMCAL. The AC/Delco website has a description and GM part number, but GMPartsDirect says it has been discontinued. Wrecking yards are happy to sell me ECMs, but none have the right prom. The prom code is AYUX/AZUY/BADD, and the GM part number is 16190050. My ECM has the prom code BADD printed on it, but the prom that is currently in it is a BZCZ. I can't even figure out what this prom originally came out of.

The car has the same symptoms as bad plugs/wires/ coils/fuel filter, etc. I've checked/changed/ replaced all of this stuff, to no avail. I then found that the prom was wrong, so I want to get that right before I do anything else. I would really appreciate any assistance with this.

Have you swapped a known good ignition control module in yet?
How about scanning for codes?
This could also be caused by a bad Cam or Crank sensor.

Also...you may want to check your production date on your drivers door sticker. Many odd things happened in 1992 as the new body style and motor was being rolled out.

That Memcal may be correct.

There were several Mem-Cals for the 92 model year.... Once I get home I will be able to look it up .... someone just throw me a reminder...

I have a spare ignition module and coils that I've swapped out, and there are no codes. The car runs like a champ until I reach zero boost, then it starts bucking and backfiring through the SC. It then develops a severe miss that doesn't clear until I rev the engine to between 3500 and 4000 rpm. I'm not sure how to check the cam or crank sensor dynamically without replacing them.

The AC/Delco website listed several MEMCALs (for Federal and California emissions), but the BZCZ was not listed anywhere. I'll check the production date and post it.
