Need help to finish my car. Thanks guys!
Ok... my car is being finished up. As u know my girlfriends dad has been working on my car for a while now. ALL new brakes. And is replacing front and rear struts, and all new tires. He cant get the bottom of the rear struts off.
Well my exterier door trim was ripped off from the previous owner swipping a mailbox. We cant find the retaining clips that hold the trim panel on. GM Part #25552851 i need the retaining clips for both passenger doors. If anyone knows where to get these or has the set they can get rid of i would appreciate it. thanks guys https://www.gmforum.com/picture.php?...pictureid=1789 https://www.gmforum.com/picture.php?...pictureid=1788 |
Anyone with any advice?

Come on guys. Where r u when i need you? Ive looked everywhere. GM Parts Direct, I googled it and everything.
|
I say check out a junk yard or rock auto. Can try some double sided trim tape. call up your local dealer.
|
I tried rockauto and still nothing. So much for there moto. ALL THE PARTS YOUR CAR WILL EVER NEED
ANY IDEAS? |
Relax dude.. we do sleep sometimes. PM JimmyFloyd to get his attention to your thread.

After researching my 95 and your 92. Those molding clip doohicky things are the same part number for both years. How many do you need? Do you need the entire assembly, or just the bottom clips?
|
I grabbed a bunch of these for another guy already. They aren't too bad to get off. Any 92-95 SE with the full door molding will be the same. I believe the front door uses 5 and the rear uses 4.
If mike can't get them from his 95, I can get them from the yard here. Let me know. |

mike1995 was going to help me out by sending me the clips i need but the clips he has dont look like mine... but will they still work. My car is a 1992 SE and mike1995's donor car is a 1995 SE, but why do they look so differant?

Will this work?
mike1995 has door trim retaining clips off of a 1995 SE. I need the clips for my 1992 SE but they look different. but will they still work? i dont see why they would be different when they cars are so close in age. Thanks

Give them a try. I doubt it, but if you have them...try them.
