Wipers
2 part question....
Which wiper blades are good?
Also is there a way to adjust the wipers so they go down all the way in the holders? (mine are about 1.5" from going all the way down)...Oddly enough both bonns I have owned never had this problem, wipers went all the way down.

My Bonne the wipers will go all the way down once you shut them off. Otherwise they stay somewhat up until you shut them. I'm sure this is true for other 1995s and alike too.

I tend to stick with Anco blades.. Aerovantage ones work well at highways speeds and that'* where I'm usually driving. Also a good couple coats of Rain X or Liquid Glass give you perfect vision in any storm. No streaks, smears...or any of that stuff.

My wipers go all the way down unless snow is packed in under them!
Blade brand... I use Ancos. I've tried other brands (Walmart, Bosch, etc.) and have found Ancos to be the best value for the money. Like every other Bosch product out there, their wiper blades are junk. Don't waste your money on them.
I just plan on changing mine every 6 months on both daily drivers.

Also, those winter blades where all the supports are wrapped in rubber are so so. They work until you get to highway speed where the wind now longer goes through the blade (because they are wrapped) so instead it lifts it off the windshield.

Good point CC.... I forgot that...I had winter blades for one rain. They lift, don't work and are horrible if the majority of your driving is highway you should stay away from them.

Your arms won't fully retract because some idiot before you turn them off with a large snow or ice dam below them too many times, and it bent the mechanism.
Anco Aerovantage on both cars. Tried others, hated them, came back to Anco.

As I recall, it'* a pretty easy job to pry out the latch and lift the arm off the splined drive post and reposition the arm one or two teeth lower on the splined shaft so that it parks properly. (All the way down.) When the arms are all the way down, they run up on a little ramp that reduces the pressure of the blade against the glass. This prevents the rubber from taking a premature "set." If your blades do not park properly, that is what is happening to your blades, no matter what brand.

Only thing to add to Bill'* mention of the adjusting. Take your time. It'* a pain in the butt, however worth it once you get them properly placed.
