My new (used) 4T60 - E HD tranny...(pics..big ones)
 

I just picked this tranny up from the parts yard. It has 30,000 miles on a rebuild. Here are some pics if your interested...

Hey, that's not a HD! What are you doing with that wimpy thing? :lol:

It's the same type that my car has right now. If you look at the pics I took of mine (the pics that show the hole in it :roll: ) you can see that all it says in 4T60 - E. My current tranny IS stock and doesn't say the HD. This particular one came out of a '94 SSEi.

...but if it makes you feel better I can go grab a sharpie and write it in for ya! :lol:

Mine doesn't have HD on it either, although I am pretty sure it is.

Freaky. I've been under mine numerous times. Mine is clearly marked with an HD. I thought they all were!

I should crawl under there with my digital cam. This is one weird animal. SSE on the front bumper cover, SSE on the hood insulator, HD on the trans, rear steer...... :lol:

Well, for the SSE vs SSEi thing.... As far as most parts stores go the were no SSEi's. They had them listed as SSE's with the optional S/C'd engine. I also have just SSE on the front bumper. The "i" is an option package and not neccissarily a full trim line, even though it seems to be marked as such. I think it is kinda like the WS6 package for the TA'a. It's not really a trim line but an added option to the car, even though it does define the car mechanically to some extent. Make any sence???
