Default fuel gauge stays moves only between 3/4 and full

my fuel gauge doesnt seem to be wrking .. it will never go below 3/4 and when i put gas in it will range anywhere between 3/4 and full even if only a small amount is put in.. any suggestions?

I would first try some injector cleaner like Gumout REgane MAx or TEchron.. GM also has their injector cleaner.. apparently our tank is susceptible to sulfhar stain or something like that... and the sending unit gets dirty. Mine was from bad gas ( damm hick boonie gas stations ), wouldn't go pass lower then 1/3 of a tank. Bottle of TEchron.. and 2 tanks of supreme gas ( from the city ) later.. mine is working. TAmara'* in her case is dead...

You may have to change the sending unit arm... there'* a good info on here somewhere regarding changin it ( but was on 00+.. but similar concept ) and would be cheaper then the whole sending unit replacement cost.
