Getting it scanned would be the best solution most likely. Then if there are any codes you can do a cross reference using the techinfo. If your able to tell us a little more about the car that would help out as well.

It is a hybrid OBD1 system so you will be forced to have a dealer or another auto shop with the right eqiupment scan it. Just a heads up and to save the "helpful" folks at autozone time and confusion wondering why there is an OBD II plug but their scanner does not work.

My black SSE did the same thing recently. Before doing anything check the module plug connector. clean and tighten the plug sockets, as well as check the crank sensor connector.
If it stalls and won't start check for injector pulse. if no pulse the crank sensor or module could be bad.
Usually a stall and resart condition is a faulting electrical contact, crank or module.
Follow what the people on the board said, Check for codes, try to determine if it does it only when hot etc.

I had trouble on a cutlass we had with the crank sensor and i assumed i knew where it was . But i think i may have found the temp. sensor . LOL ....By the way ...the check engine light has never came on during all this. Will it still have trouble codes stored in the comp.? Thank you guys very much for any help. Also anybody let me know if they need any help on a v-8 engine without all these sensors and gadgets !!! LOL!!! Again , .......Thanks !

crank sensor
The crank sensor plug is toward the front of the engine behind the bottom crank pully.
The module plug is just below the triple coil pack toward the front of the engine, usually has a small screw on it.

My girlfriends Bonneville does the same thing. It basically just shuts down while either driving or stopping. When it shuts down all of the dash lights go on, car stops and when you restart the car you need to reset the clock and radio. Its almost as if someone pulled the plug. No warning what so ever.
Any help is appreciated. I did check for codes with my Auto Scan 6000 and there were NONE.
I have cleaned and tested the battery and terminals.
